Full range of vegetables, some fruits, some value added products. we promise to send you the best, freshest produce we can, grown without harmful chemicals. (We use organic methods but are not certified.) We promise not to overwhelm you with unmanageable quantities of one thing, although if you're interested in canning or freezing produce, we'll make arrangements so you can purchase extra products. Tuesday pickups in several locations: on the farms in Duncannon and Dauphin, late afternoon in Camp Hill, Newport, Harrisburg, and 7-9 pm in New Cumberland.

Cool Beans CSA opened in 2010 with 30 members and will expand in 2011. It's a partnership between two experienced farmers, with one farm on each side of the Susquehanna. Judi has a large farm in Duncannon, where her family has grown meat, grains and vegetables for generations, and she raises the bulk crops there. Katie has a small farm outside of Dauphin, and raises the plants we need in her greenhouse in addition to the specialty crops in her fields.

Our weekly shares are mostly vegetables with some fruits and some value added products. Members can purchase additional items, such as the freshly ground whole wheat grown on the farm in Duncannon, or arrange for specialty cheeses to be delivered with your order from local cheesemakers we meet at our weekly market.
