Cordray Farm
For over a hundred years, our family has hand raised cattle for our own use. Now we'd like to raise cattle for your family. We have fresh and frozen all natural local beef available in our on-farm store during August to January. We sell Beef Shares (1/8 of a steer) or Beef Sides by appointment during the rest of the year. We know not only what our animals have eaten, where its been and who has handled it, but we know its ancestry for generations.

Since we provide beef from a limited number of small local family farms, our quantities are very limited. We process only a few cattle a year. It takes about 2 years for a steer to mature. We are slowly increasing our herd, planning now for the 2013 season! As you'll see when you come to visit, our cows graze at will on grass and hay.

With Cordray Farms Beef Shares your family can enjoy all natural beef straight from the farm! We do things a little differently. We don't ask that you pay upfront or by the year. We also don't deliver shares weekly or monthly. Each family's beef use varies widely so it would be hard to provide monthly or weekly installments. Our shares let you team with 7 other families to share one animal. That way, you get a variety of cuts that equal 1/8 of the total carcass. If it takes your family 2 months to use yours and another family 6 months, you can reorder for your family whenever you want. We also do all our own cutting and packaging. We don't do the actual slaughter on premises, but the whole sides are returned here in just a few days to remain under our watchful care as we cut and vacuum seal the portions for your family's share. What we do have in common with other CSA's is the sincere desire to provide the highest quality beef from cows born and raised on our farm.
