Crossroads Community Church

Post Office Box 157

In 1977, a group of 15 people reopened the old Springville Christian Church in Springville, Indiana, which had sat empty for several months. It was the desire of the congregation to attract a variety of denominations to their new church and the name was changed to Springville Community Church.

In 1978, Brother Ken Ransom was called to take the pastorate. He was a man with a vision and a desire to build a church that would be a "light on a hill" to a community in need of a Savior.

By 1985, after numerous building additions and much remodeling, there was no more room on the property for further building enlargements. However, the congregation kept growing and soon the sanctuary would have been too small to accommodate all.

A group of church leaders began pursuing new sites for the construction of a new church building. After a long search, an available piece of property at the corner of Highway 37 and Trogden Lane, just outside of Needmore, was purchased, and paid in full. The church property in Springville was put up for sale as a new church was being erected on the newly purchased 30 acres of land.

Since the new church building was no longer located in Springville, the congregation chose a new name and the church became Crossroads Community Church.

In October 1995, the new building including a sanctuary seating 800+ people, a multi purpose gymnasium, and classrooms, was dedicated to the Lord.

The congregation has continued to grow and Crossroads Community Church has just completed Phase I of a new building project.
