Mission Statement

The mission of Decorah Lutheran Church, a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), is to empower worshipping individuals in daily living through confession, forgiveness and the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. Our purpose is to nurture and strengthen faith in God and Jesus Christ through education, worship and service in our community, our congregation, our families, and ourselves, in an atmosphere of reverence, respect, and fellowship so that all are strengthened and united toward serving God and all creation.
