Deer Park Mission Statement:

Children have different cognitive, physical and emotional needs.  DPS has established an unwritten curriculum accompanied by flexible instruction that insures each child’s needs will be met. Instruction will take place in a positive atmosphere with consistent guidance.  Students are viewed as life-long learners.  An emphasis on problem solving and critical thinking will prepare our students for the world of tomorrow.  A sincere attempt is made to find the strengths of each individual.  These strengths will be developed and become building blocks for future learning.  Students will be helped to experience success by a caring staff that finds a way to encourage each child to reach his/her greatest potential.
