Orovada Elementary School has a very active and involved parent-teacher organization that has funded major purchases and projects for the Orovada Elementary School campus.

Orovada students and staff successfully lobbied the Nevada Legislature to officially recognize Orovada soil as the State Soil of the state of Nevada.
