Our Mission: To identify community needs related to parenting and to implement effective strategies to address those needs.

DCPC maintains the most comprehensive database of parenting resources in the state.  While we emphasize local resources, our Toolbox contains information parents everywhere can use.   The Coalition hosts programs that enhance children's wellbeing and foster parenting skills. Some program topics have included children and disasters, bullying, and a workshop on referrals.   The DCPC creates forums and initiates conversations that result in greater civic engagement and more channels of communication for families. We are the only countywide agency dedicated to parenting and we serve constituencies beyond those in the public schools.  Home school families, noncustodial parents, and private school parents are just a few.

DCPC is a not for profit organization staffed by volunteers.  Our programs are open to the public and are free or minimal-cost.
