Downtown Macon Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Downtown Macon was chartered January   28, 1994 through the sponsorship of the Macon Rotary Club.

The 24 charter members of the club originally met on Wednesday at the City Auditorium.  The club currently meets in the Macon Centerplex - Monument Room or Room 306.

The Downtown Macon Rotarians give strong support to the Rotary Foundation with over 19 Paul Harris Fellows.  Of current members, 15 are Paul Harris Fellows.  In addition, approximately 20 members make quarterly contributions to the Georgia Rotary Student Program.

There is an emphasis on fellowship in the club with several social functions held each year.  The Christmas luncheon is held annually at the Woodruff House.

The Rotary Club of Downtown Macon has celebrated more than nine years of "Service Above Self" and looks forward to continued service and fellowship in this new 21st Century.
