I first announced my candidacy for Congressional District 3 in 2008 when Congressman John Shadegg announced his retirement. The Congressman decided to re-enter the race ten days later and I withdrew. My reason for running in 2010 is the same as it was in 2008: CD 3 deserves a conservative Republican to carry on the work of Congressman Shadegg.

The political landscape has changed drastically since 2008. My vision is to pass on to my children and grandchildren a better America. The current Democratic leadership has miscalculated their perceived mandate and are taking this county in the wrong direction.

This campaign will be focused on accomplishments, not promises. I worked for 30 years at IBM and have owned a small business for over 40 years. I was very successful applying common sense business principles to the decision making process as councilman, vice-mayor and mayor of Paradise Valley. My private sector experience combined with my 10 years of public service makes me uniquely qualified to represent the people of CD 3 in Washington.

I will apply business best practices to government problem solving in Washington.
