Our middle school houses all of the district students in grades six, seven and eight. We welcome approximately 1,000 students each day to the exciting world of ETMS. Our students first and foremost are surrounded by a faculty of literacy educators who believe that building a strong foundation in reading and writing will provide the best chances for academic success and access to options in our fast changing global world for our students. We provide a double block of English-Language Arts to every sixth grader as well as a Corrective Reading Program and a Corrective Writing Program for every learner who needs additional instruction to move towards a higher level of independence in literacy. Both programs are offered during the school day as well as after school three times weekly.Throughout our school are “Book Stops” where students and teachers gather for weekly Book Clubs, reading and discussing fiction or nonfiction selections to challenge the skills and thinking of our learners.
