The Fairview Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit emergency response organization located 15 miles south of Pittsburgh. The Department responds to an average of 250 calls annually.

Fairview was was the third of four departments organized in South Fayette Twp. The department has been operating since 1950. Fairview was station 14 until 2000 when Allegheny County assigned new station numbers. Fairview was assigned 268 and has been operating as 268 since.

Fairview Volunteer Fire Department operates 365 days a year, 24 hours a day with members that are 100% volunteer. Our members provide fire and rescue service with out charge to our residents. The members of Fairview are homeowners and business owners just like you. Members of the department dedicate many hours in training, fundraising, work details, maintenance, administration and responding to emergencies.

The department currently runs with 20 active members and operates with a Engine, Rescue, Squad and Utility.
