The First Baptist Church is an independent Baptist Church located in the heart of Bagdad, Arizona, 60 miles west of Prescott, AZ.  We are physically located on the corner of Palo Verde and Grandview.  First Baptist Church has just celebrated or 50th anniversary on Mother's Day, May 12, 2007

Through the years in this small mining community First Baptist has touched hundreds of lives with the Gospel of Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

At First Baptist we believe that the scriptures provide the only sure foundation on which to build our lives.  We believe that God has a purpose for every life, that is why we take a strong stand on teaching and preaching the Bible

First Baptist works hard to meet the needs of our people (member or visitor) from the youngest to the oldest.  It is our greatest desire for you to know Christ in a personal way as your Saviour and be involved in a church home that will care for you.

There are more that 15,000 Independent Baptist Churchs in America and at least 10,000 Independent Baptist missionaries serving on mission fields world wide.

Every Independent Baptist church is an autonomous congregation.  We are self-governing and self-supporting.  The head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice.  It is our desire to be a truly New Testament church.
