First Presbyterian Church of Hopkinsville

303 East 9th Street
270-885-8171

Organized in 1813, First Presbyterian Church is the oldest congregation still worshiping in Hopkinsville. The church building, constructed in 1849, is a historical landmark. The church has a long history of mission and service in the community.

First Presbyterian is currently serving Christ in our community through the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, Aaron McNeil Crisis Relief Center, Sanctuary House, St. Luke's Free Clinic and Habitat for Humanity. We recently established an evening Alzheimer's Disease Support Group which meets once a month at the church. Beyond our community we support the Murray State Campus Ministry, Heifer Project International, and missions in Nicaragua.

First Presbyterian hopes to serve Christ and the community in the future by establishing an Alzheimer's Day Care Center or a community center in an adjoining property. We seek ways to work with existing agencies in assisting the homeless and the hungry. With God's guidance we hope to make a difference in a hurting world.
