Church History

God began a great work with just 13 people in 1893 when Forest Baptist Church (FBC) was organized. Over the past 100 years, God has truly blessed FBC. Our church is rich in history. If you look back over the church records, you can see over and over how God's people at FBC have risen to meet the challenges that were placed before them.

The proof that God's hand is still on Forest Baptist Church is seen by the fact that the church has grown from an average of 60 people attending on Sunday morning to approximately 350 that attend on a regular basis. The amazing thing is that all of this growth has occurred in the last 4 years! God's blessings were seen again in March of 1998 when an anonymous individual donated the adjoining 4+ acres next to the church as a gift valued at $220,000!

We know from Scripture God wants to build His church and He will make it grow. In Matthew 16:15 Jesus declares to Peter "upon this rock I will build my church" and in I Corinthians 3:6-8, Paul acknowledged that "I planted, Apollo's watered, but God made it grow."
