Fortuna is the goddess of fate, fortune and luck in Roman religion. She was worshiped extensively in Italy from the earliest times as the bearer of prosperity. Fortuna Stables embraces the idea of the goddess Fortuna in our mission to provide win-win-win outcomes in all our equestrian activities. 

Fortuna Stables prides itself on the training, care and sale of a variety of different breeds and types of horses for over 15 years. We strive to find the best forever homes for the horses in our programs, while providing the previous and new horse owners superior service and support. Growing up in Southern Arizona, she started her career competing with Arabian horses in Eventing.

Evening includes three events, Dressage, Stadium Jumping, and Cross Country. She trained and showed many Arabians and Half-Arabians on the breed circuit to wins in Saddleseat, Western, Hunter and Halter. She has deep appreciation for the intelligence the sensitivity of the Arabian horse which carries over into her training techniques with all horses today.

Amika has also been a student of many outstanding trainers in a variety of disciplines (Saddleseat, English, Hunter, Jumper, Dressage, Western, Reined Cow Horse, Team Penning, Trial, Eventing) and with many breeds of horses (Arabian, Morgan, Saddlebred, Mustang, Warmblood, Quarter Horse, Thoroughbred).

She has also enjoyed rehabilitating injured horses and training OTTB (off the track Thoroughbreds) for new jobs so that they can be placed with forever, loving homes.Fortuna Stables, located in beautiful Elfin Forest, Escondido, California now offers horse training, boarding, and sales with a focus on natural horsemanship practices and training techniques.
