The Friends of Grimes County Child Welfare Board  is a 501.c(3) non profit organization assisting with fund raising for the Grimes Co. Child Welfare Board. The Child Welfare Board is an entity of county governmnent. It is responsible for insuring children from Grimes County, who are in the custody of CPS receive clothing, diapers, formula, bedding, toys and other necessities in this most traumatic time.   These services are made through our Rainbow Room.  

Rainbow Rooms are emergency resource rooms that provide for the basic needs of children and families during times of crisis. Sometimes in emergency situations a child may be removed from their home with only the clothes they are wearing. The Rainbow Room is open to CPS caseworker 24-7. Items stored in the Rainbow Room are new only. No used clothing, toys, etc. are accepted.
