Friendship Freewill Baptist was organized in 1986 with ten members. We held our first service on August 16th, 1986 in a little store front building on Gay St. next door to the ballpark barber shop.

God blessed our church, and it began to grow. In April of 1989, we moved into another church which we bought from the Church of the Latter Day Saints. God continued to bless us by adding to the church. In May of 1999, we built a new facility which far exceeds, we believe, what those ten people thought we would ever have as far as a building to worship God in.

A church is more than a nice building. It is a body of Christ-like people who acknowledges and believes in "God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit." A people where you see the evidence of things not seen before (Faith). A people where you see and witness the power of God through his healings and spiritual growth. People who love one another, and are concerned about the less fortunate, and are burdened about the unsaved.
