The Sister City program began in 1964, with the adoption of Morelia, Mexico as Fullerton's first Sister City. In 1989, Fullerton gained a second Sister City - Fukui, Japan.
In 1991, with the emphasis on goodwill growing throughout the world, the Fullerton Sister City Association, Inc. was established to further the cause of cultural understanding and tolerance through exchanges with other people and nations.
Today, Fullerton Sister City is strong visible part of our community sharing ideas, cultures and goodwill with our established sister cities. We host visitors from the sister cities and plan trips to keep our communication strong and cultural exchanges in full force.
