About Us

Gaston Hospice is a local, non-profit healthcare organization that cares for people who are in the last stages of a terminal disease. Hospice care enables these patients to live at home as fully as possible.

Hospice care means pain and symptom management for the patient; help with patient care for the family; and financial, legal and emotional support for all. The Gaston Hospice care team includes the patient's physician, nurse, nursing assistant, medical social worker, chaplain, bereavement counselor and volunteer.

Gaston Hospice serves any resident of Gaston County and the surrounding areas who has been diagnosed with a life expectancy of six months or less. Services are provided regardless of diagnosis or ability to pay.
