GENERATION CHRIST - The new chapter

Generation Christ is a Young Adult Group for Christians 25-40+ sponsored by Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sleepy Hollow, NY (Westchester County). The group meets twice a month* for fellowship and to support each other on our paths to the Lord. Generation Christ is about meeting the faith needs of our generation. At the meetings we have philosophical meetings regarding our religion to learn more about the Catholic faith. Our spiritual advisor is the newly named Msgr. Mazza who has been with the parish for many years. *To be notified of meeting dates, please send an email to [email protected] to be added to the mailing list.

Our host parish is Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 199 North Broadway (Route 9) Sleepy Hollow, NY. Mass times are Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 9:30am and 11am.

The group was originally founded May 2002 at Holy Innocents in Pleasantville by now Father Jonathan Kalish OP based on the original Generation Christ group from Cincinnati-- http://www.stgertrude.org/gc/

We are a group of about 50 people from the Bronx to Mahopac, NY.

To be added to the groups email mailing list please send an email to [email protected] or [email protected]

As a group we also have get togethers like pot luck BBQ's, dinners, karaoke nights out, among other things. Group members invite the group via e-mail or phone from week to week to various things.

Also, on Sundays we sometimes will meet for casual dinners out at a local restaurant.

The Greenwich Forum:

"O Lord Jesus Christ, out of the darkness of Calvary comes the brightness of Your glorious return to life by Your own power and in Your own human body. This is the mystery of salvation, the mystery in which we hope for our eternal life. The human mind cannot believe without the gift of faith and cannot rejoice without the presence of the Holy Spirit. Strengthen us to believe in You and trust in Your word. Lift up our hearts when we contemplate this beautiful mystery of the Resurrection that we may be guided through life's difficulties and challenges by the light of the Holy Spirit. Amen."
