Since 1996, a group of medical professionals and others have held week long clinics in an underserved area of Guatemala twice a year, every spring and fall.  We bring dental, general medicine, pediatric and women's health care to people who have limited access to health care.  We also teach local fire-rescue personnel, midwives, and public health personnel.  We work to improve dental and physical health through preventive care and education.  We work in concert with Guatemalan doctors, nurses and pharmacists, and in cooperation with the Guatemalan Ministry of Health.  We welcome volunteers  in the areas of dentistry, pharmacy, medicine, PA's, NP's, midwives, Spanish language translators, and also general volunteers whom we train to do specific jobs.  A limited number of students participate as well.  All volunteers pay their own way, and we raise funds locally to purchase medications and other supplies we need for our work.
