Our club was founded in 1922 and it continues to represent the highest ideals through its service-oriented programs both at home and abroad. Our club meets every Thursday at 12:15 pm, at the Ramada Inn, 1 Abbey Lane, Queensbury (Northway exit 19) and offers our members and guests the highest level of spirit, fellowship and opportunity for community service. 

 

Our club is active in community service projects around the globe. For many years we have been active in the Youth Exchange Program. In this program, we host incoming high school students from other nations and sponsor outbound students from our area, who represent our club and Rotary district via residence in countries around the globe. In February 2008 we announced the formation of a Community Service Scholarship to be given annually to deserving senior graduates of Glens Falls and Queensbury high schools. We are proud of the work being done by our members to help save children’s lives in third world countries. Our club has raised funds and invested human resources to assist the people of Haiti, Honduras, and Guatemala bring clean water to thousands of families in these countries. Locally, we offer our annual Rotary 5K run/walk and Corporate Challenge in the spring. We strive for healthy life styles and encourage community members to train and participate in this event. The Corporate Challenge portion of the 5K allows organizations to form 5 member teams as many employers, as well as other groups, continue to stress health and wellness programs. Money raised by this event is infused directly into the local economy by the Glens Falls Rotary. Funds raised go to local charities designated each race year, to help them in their mission of assisting the Greater Glens Falls community.
