The United Presbyterian Church of Goldfield, Iowa, located at 220 East Oak Street, has been  Celebrating The Journey for over 100 years as they serve the Lord in the community. The church was officially organized on March 1, 1884, with 13 charter members. The total active membership today is 160. During the first years, church services were held in the school house. The first church building was erected in 1886. It was enlarged to its present size in 1908, and has been extensively remodeled many times since then. An administrative wing was added in 2000.

We are a caring congregation of committed, hard-working individuals with diverse personalities, different interests, gifts and talents. At the present time Joyce Garton-Natte is our part-time Interim Pastor, with Pastor Jim Seibert also doing pulpit supply. The worship service is a challenging, moving and inspirational participation in praise, prayer and proclamation.

Our church offers Sunday School for all ages, children's and adult choirs, Presbyterian Women, three mission circles, an ecumenical men's prayer breakfast which meets monthly, and a Board of Session which includes committees on Worship and Music; Christian Education; Membership, Evangelism and Outreach; Stewardship, Mission and Finance; Property, Building and Grounds/Memorial Gifts; and Personnel, Insurance and Future Planning.
