This ministry was begun at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in 2004 in an effort to break the silence about addictive behaviors, and to make our congregation a welcoming and safe place for members to talk about their experiences and concerns.  Through youth and adult education programs and worship services that celebrate recovery from addiction, we have opened the opportunities for conversations that are long overdue in the faith community.  Our Addiction/Recovery Ministry Team consists of a group of community members with a special interest in the areas of addiction, recovery, prevention and education.  We bring our faith and personal or professional experience together to create a safe link to the church for those who felt shamed or isolated because of the stigma of addiction.
