Grace Presbyterian Church

781 Terex Road
330-650-6548

History:

Grace Presbyterian Church of the Western Reserve was started in 1988 as a church plant by the PCA’s Mission to North America. The city of Hudson was targeted in hopes of establishing a base for additional church planting activity in Northeast Ohio, which continues to be the vision of the Ohio Presbytery.

The organizational service was held January 6, 1991. From our first Sunday, worship has been at 9:30 a.m. with Sunday School following. For most of the time prior to our church building’s completion, GPC met at Hudson High School.

In the spring of 1992, the congregation purchased 18 acres of land on Terex Road in what was then Hudson Township. Later that year, Grace Presbyterian Church was transferred from the Presbytery of the Ascension to Great Lakes Presbytery. The land was dedicated November 28, 1993 and construction began soon afterward. The building was completed in time for the first service November 27, 1994—truly a time for Thanksgiving that year!
