The Fire Department is the body of personal that provides the trained manpower to utilize the equipment provided by the Fire District. The body is made of Active, Life, and Social Members. The Department oversees fundraising actives such as carnival, dog show, raffles, and other related events. The Department is also responsible for issuing uniforms (class “A” and class “B”) and other items like collar brass, badges, and other items that the Membership decides to purchase. This is from the money funds that the Department has earned by the Members.

The Board of Directors is the body that governs the Department. There are seven members that make up the board. Made up of the Administrative Officers and the Chief. This group oversees all money expenditures and handles issues related the Department with membership, daily business, and rulings in the best interest of the Fire Department.

The Administrative Officers are referred to as the Civil Line. This group consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Director of Membership, and two Directors of property. These Officers are responsible for providing structure and leadership in Social Events. This group oversees all day-to-day operations of the Merritt Hall and Firemen’s Fields.
