Hancock Nursery School is a non-sectarian, non-profit preschool housed in the Hancock United Church of Christ, which is located in the heart of Lexington across from the Battle Green. The school is completely supported through tuition and fundraising events, and we pay rent to the church for use of the classroom, offices and storage spaces.

Hancock Nursery School is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and is accredited by the National Academy for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC).

Our School is governed by a Board of Directors that meets on a monthly basis. The Board of Directors consists of the Executive Director, teacher representative, parent representative, Parent Committee representative, Treasurer of the school, and an outside community member. The school bylaws define the delegation of authority and are always available to parents for review.
