Harrisburg Hunters And Anglers Association

6611 Hunters Run Road
717-545-6834

Harrisburg Hunters’ and Anglers’ is situated on 150 acres in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County, Pa. and is one of the most complete sporting facilities in the East.

Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers’ was founded in 1935 and incorporated in 1937 by a group of five men who desired to share a fellowship with other outdoor sportsmen.  They were also concerned with many issues that affect us still – pollution, reforestation, and conservation of our natural resources.

At our present location since 1940, Harrisburg Hunters’ and Anglers’ currently has many members throughout the surrounding area (as well as a few out of state members).

HH&A hosts several events each year (open to the public) promoting the safe and responsible use of firearms, sportsmanship, and enjoyment of the outdoors sports.  Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, designed not only to entertain but to keep our members informed of the latest gun, hunting and safety issues.

Although hunting and fishing are predominately male sports, HH&A does not overlook the fact that they are becoming more popular with women.  Participation by women of all ages, in our “Handgun Safety” courses and our “Junior Rifle” programs, taught by NRA certified instructors, continues to increase each year.

Whether you’re interested in learning handgun safety, enjoy archery, would like to try shooting a handgun (we’ll teach you how). If you wish to join a traditional Bullseye Pistol league, want to learn to shoot in High Power Rifle competition, prefer to shoot Black Powder or just want to be in the company of others who share your interests.  Harrisburg Hunters’ and Anglers’ is the place to be.

Our ranges are used by several Law Enforcement agencies and private security forces for training and qualification.  Most of our target ranges have covered firing lines which allow their use during (mild) inclement weather.

The clubhouse (originally a barn) has a large meeting area (approximately 30′ by 60′) including a lounge area with a stone fireplace and commissary, in addition to a full kitchen facility.
