Mission:
To lead unchurched persons in the Maytown area to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and develop them into strong disciples through a commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
Vision:
To become a biblically functioning community that is radically devoted to Christ, irrevocably committed to each other and relentlessly dedicated to reaching those outside God's family with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We Believe:
At Harvest Community Church we believe that people matter to God! He shows us our worth and value to him by paying for our wrongs with the blood of his son, giving his life for us. He has made us to need relationships, with him and with each other. The Bible reveals his way of salvation and is our guide for faith and conduct.
Our Core Values can best be summarized by the following acrostic:
- Healthy, loving relationships nurtured thru small groups
- Absolute devotion to Christ is normal for every believer
- Recognize that lost people matter to God (and therefore us)
- Value cultural relevancy, creativity and doctrinal purity
- Excellence honors God and inspires people
- Spiritual gifts empower us to serve
- Teaching and preaching for life change.

About

Harvest Community Church was founded in 1998 as part of the expanding network of the Brethren in Christ church.  Led by a group of people who desired to do church differently than in the past, Harvest was designed to welcome those who had given up on church and/or God. The vision and heartbeat of this group was to start a church that provided a safe and casual environment to discover God and grow in a relationship with him.  If you visit Harvest today, you will find we are a people of different ages, backgrounds, and origins, but are united by a love for God and a desire to follow him in our lives.  Some of us have been believers for long periods of time while others have only been a believer for a short period of time or are still seeking God within their own lives.  Regardless of where you are on this spectrum, you will find love, acceptance, and grace.

We invite you to join us for our Sunday morning Celebration Service and experience the joy of joining others in worshiping God.
