Purpose:

The purpose of Hebron Baptist Church is to be willing, obedient servants at all cost; to bring people into Christ's fellowship; to equip them with the truth of God's Word in order to exalt and glorify Him.

Who We Are:

Hebron Baptist Church is a small, (but growing) rural church in Amite County, Mississippi. We're part of the Mississippi Baptist Association and Southern Baptist Convention. Our members come from throughout the area, driving as far as 15 miles from McComb, MS and 10 miles from Liberty, MS. Our membership is diverse, from loggers to lawyers, from farmers to international missionaries, from students to secretaries from retirees to stay-at-home moms. No matter the position of a member in the secular world, we're all one big family of Christian brothers and sisters, serving together our Lord Jesus Christ.

We're a church who welcomes everyone who walks in the door. We know the great love Jesus has for us and we understand that He loves everyone else the same way. No one is too great or too small in the eyes of Jesus and we try to see everyone through His eyes. We don't pretend to be perfect, but we are growing together in our walk with Jesus, as He continues to mold us into the people He wants us to be.

What We Do:

At Hebron Baptist Church, we do lots of things and have many activities and events for all ages. But everything we do, no matter what they might be, center on one thing, lifting up and drawing focusing on Jesus Christ.

We lift up and focus on Jesus Christ in several different ways. One of these ways is through our Sunday School. Don't think boring classes and teachers, watching the clock, and waiting for the bell to ring. Think real fellowship with friends who really care, who will laugh with you and cry with you. Think exciting Bible Study that challenges you and gives you real world solutions. Think about a place where the world stays outside the door and you can come into the safety of Christian friends. That's what our Sunday School is all about. And all ages, from birth to 103 have these types of Sunday School classes at Hebron.

Our Discipleship Training is another way we lift up the Lord. We offer extended length classes that help you focus on Jesus Christ throughout the week. We offer classes with such names as "Experiencing God," "Women of the Bible," "The Man God Uses," and "Survival Kit," among others. Most last 8 to 12 weeks, helping you grow in an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. There is a Men's only class, that is currently studying Baptist Doctrine. And like Sunday School, there are groups for all ages.

Our primary way of lifting up Jesus Christ is through our Worship Services. We have two worship services each Sunday. During these services, we focus all we are on the Lord. We do this through our singing, our giving, and our listening to the Word of God as it is taught and proclaimed. The sermons are straight from the Word of God and are therefore relevant to us right now, today. In our worship services we are excited, motivated, and convicted as we allow everything that distracts us outside to fall away as we look to God.

Each Wednesday night we have a Prayer Meeting and Children on Mission. The first Wednesday Night of each month we have Women on Mission and Brotherhood. This gives us an opportunity to practice real prayer as we pray for those who have been placed on our Prayer List. Over the years, we have found that God really does hear and answer prayers. These real evidences of answered prayer has caused us to pray all the more earnestly during our Prayer Meetings.

We're serious about God's Word here at Hebron. While the adults participate in the Prayer Meeting and Bible Study, the children and youth groups have their own time together, learning about missions and missionaries.
