Mission:

We will make our church an open beacon of light in the community and bursting with love, truth, fellowship, and witness through service.We will welcome, adopt and encourage our guests by lovingly and joyfully sharing and informing them in all that we do.We will be, as members of ILC, collectively united and enthusiastic ambassadors of Christ, reaching out to all and lovingly equipping and supporting them for service.

Core Values:

Faithfulness to the Scriptures and Confessions -We maintain the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the written Word of God and the only rule and norm of faith and practice. We also maintain the writings of the Book of Concord to be a true and unadulterated statement and exposition of the Word of God. All our teaching, preaching, worship and programming will be in conformity with both writings.Excellence in Christian Education - We place a high value on growing our relationship to Jesus through education. We believe that Bible studies, personal devotions, our preschool, elementary school and middle school, Sunday school, confirmation and Vacation Bible school are foundational to our ministry. Time with the Word of God means a growing relationship with Jesus and life transformation. We also seek to be excellent in the preparation and presentation of all educational programs so they may have the maximum impact possible.

Servanthood - Our leaders are servant leaders. Serving other people enables both the servant and the kingdom of God to grow. We seek to serve both those inside the congregation and those outside the congregation with a spirit of hospitality. We look after those who are hurting and in need. We support the programs of our congregation. We network with the community to bring the healing love of Christ to our city, nation and world. Quality - We strive for quality in all that we do and are. We strive for healthy and growing relationships with each other and especially Jesus. We strive for worship services that are planned to be inspirational and welcoming. We seek excellence in all our programming. We encourage healthy lives and continuing education for all our staff. Innovation - We foster an atmosphere where new ideas can be tried without fear. While we always calculate the risk of attempting something new, we are not afraid to break from "we’ve always done it that way before." We allow ourselves the freedom to fail and to learn from our experiences.
