Mission Statement
Itawamba Community College is a two-year public-supported community college dedicated to serving the educational needs of the residents primarily of Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe and Pontotoc counties in Northeast Mississippi. Its main purpose is to provide comprehensive educational opportunities of the highest quality through academic, vocational-technical and personal enrichment programs in order to meet local needs at low cost to students.

The College fully subscribes to the philosophy that the mission of the community college is to bring the concept of educational opportunities for all closer to reality. To support this philosophy, the College has an open admissions policy that provides qualified students an opportunity to pursue a college/university parallel Associate of Arts degree, a technical Associate of Applied Science degree or an occupational Vocational Certificate. In addition, students are encouraged to participate in special interest programs. The students receive academic skills and application strategies to assume their roles in society and in the work place. Additionally, residents within the district are presented special services and activities designed to promote economic growth.
