The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce has been an organization since it was formed in 1947. It was formed to give businessmen and women a vehicle through which they can work to improve the livability of their community and the activity of their market. Its concerns are for the total community, but it is primarily responsible to the business and professional community for whom it serves as a spokesman and advocate.
