All products included in the share are grown by us, harvested ripe, and delivered fresh to several locations in the Harrisburg and State College areas. We specialize in heirloom and unusual varieties, and not just for tomatoes. We allow limited customization of shares-- up to three items can be maximized, and up to three minimized or avoided alltogether. We strive for variety both within the week and between weeks, with a balance between heavy dense items and leafy fluffy ones. We also try to include one item a week which most people find unfamiliar, however, the bulk of the share is composed of old favorites like lettuce, beans and tomatoes. Each delivery includes a newsletter with news from the farm, cooking instructions and recipies, and fun vegetable facts and history, if I know any or can make them up. We now offer Full/ Family shares, Indivisual/ couples shares, and, new last year, an "a la carte" option, with no automatic deliveries and no unasked for items. Please see our website for details. We welcome shareholder visits and plan several potluck gatherings throughout the season.

Our farm is located in Juniata County, Pennsylvania at the foot of the Tuscarora Mountain. We raise certified organic produce and pastured chicken. We operate a CSA with delivery to the Harrisburg and State College areas with an emphasis on freshness, variety, and heirloom vegetables. We grow many vegetables not commonly found in CSA shares in this part of the country, including Chinese broccoli, kohlrabi, vegetable amaranth, parsnips, and many more too numerous to list here. However, we promise not to grow anything yukky. We are a small, family owned and operated farm. We grow vegetables on about ten acres and graze about the same with cattle and chickens. The rest of our farm is in hay or is wooded. Our educational opportunities include everything from full internships to an edifying lecture.
