SALISBURY -Jeffreys Toy Closet will be at  Reviving Veterans with Disabilities at Manpower To Horsepower this Saturday, October 6th,2012 gearing up to help his angel kids and Rowan County's needy this Christmas season. But young Jeffrey Stanton, founder of Jeffreys Toy Closet and legend racer of the 61 coupe and sedan has other agenda also on his plate, to help share the wonderful Manpower to Horsepower event and to help get the word out about 8 year old Kyson Preston's mom, who went missing on August 23rd, 2012.


The fundraising event, which is Saturday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., at Manpower to Horsepower, 5240 U.S. 601, Salisbury, is three miles from the Hefner VA Medical Center. The cost for the event is $10 for adults and free for children ages 13 and younger.

Manpower to Horsepower is a Mooresville rehabilitation space for wounded soldiers.

The organization offers classes taught by Rowan-Cabarrus Community College instructors that teach veterans about motorsports.

There will be food, race car drivers and their cars, a concert and other activities.

Some of the race car drivers on hand at the event will be Morgan Shepherd, NASCAR Sprint Cup Driver Jeffrey Earnhardt, grandson of the late Dale Earnhardt; Morgan Shepherd; Timmy Hill and Matt Carter, son of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car owner Travis Carter and young legend racer, Jeffrey Stanton with his INEX Legend Coupe.

Jeffrey Stanton, 15, founder of Jeffrey's Toy Closet, a local nonprofit, will also be on hand.

Stanton, who collects new toys for children in need and races in the Legends Series, will be at the event to cast some light on a missing Concord woman, Crystal Morrison Prentice.

Prentice has been missing since mid-August. Her family has organized area awareness events.

Stanton is collecting toys for Jeffreys Toy Closet and bought toys with his own allowance for Prentice's 8-year-old son, Kyson, through Jeffrey's Toy Closet.

His race car, which will be at the event, has a decal that he also hopes will spread the word about Prentice.

Stanton will also be collecting items for his Toy Closet which has helped well over 35,000 children and other charities in our area including Rowan Helping Ministries Toy Chests and Rowan Vocational Opportunities along with Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital and many more.

There will also be official military vehicles on display, a live auction, Team Chevrolet will have new cars to test drive.

Country music recording artist Leah Seawright and former "Alabama" drummer Mark Herndon will perform.
