The Fire Department has a total membership of approximately 150 with 50 members being the active firefighting crew.

The Department is presently working with the Borough Council to purchase a new ladder truck and a replacement engine.

The Fire Department provides fire supression, rescue and prevention to the Borough. During 2002, the Department responded to 261 fire and rescue calls. The Department stands ready to answer calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
