Fletcher Library offers patrons much more than traditional library fare; the facility received recognition from the Arkansas Institute for Architects. It offers patrons a selection of adult and children’s books as well as CDs, DVDs and videocassettes. The 13,500-square-feet library opened in 1996 and provides access to public meeting rooms and programs for all ages.

People of the Library
John Gould Fletcher, a Little Rock native, was a poet and author and the first Arkansan to be awarded a Pulitzer Prize. His works include Selected Poems, for which he won the Pulitzer Prize, The Black Rock and The Burning Mountain. He married children’s author Charlie May Simon in 1936.
