The Kiwanis Club of New Hartford was organized on June 26, 1957. In addition to SAFETY TOWN, the Club sponsors an annual A.M.B.A Blood Screening for the public. They sponsor a Key Club and a Builders Club in the local schools, and sponsor the BOCES Student of the Month, sports for youth, and provide scholarships to area students. We also conduct the Bucky Weaver Memorial Golf Tournament in support of Kamp Kiwanis in nearby Taberg, and support numerous other civic and volunteer activities. We organized and maintain the C.A.P. program for Oneida County; the Community Against Pushers.
