About the School:

Knightsen Elementary School is located in a small community which was founded in the early 1900's. Covering 30 square miles, Knightsen School District draws students from a wide variety of economic backgrounds. We are a unique small school in the center of a supportive community. We have a very active Parent Teacher Club and School Site Council who provide invaluable support for our students. We are one of only two school districts in the County which still provides free busing for all students. This was accomplished through the passage of a parcel tax in 1997.

Our Board of Trustees are fair-minded individuals who provide direction and budgetary support for effective programs for all students. Our staff members are professionals who have the interest of the children first in all that they do. Hence our motto, "Knightsen ... the Learning Place Where Children Come First."
