Kookoolan Farms Ltd

Kookoolan Farms LTD - Follows organic and biodynamic practices but is not certified. We have never used any chemical pesticide, herbicide, fungicide or fertilizer on our farm! Even our compost is self-produced from our own cows and chickens -- we are one of very few organic vegetable farms that DOES NOT buy composted animal manure from confinement feedlot operations.

We are accepting new customers for our fruit and vegetable CSA for 2011, please call or write for details. We are a diverse, integrated small farm. We also raise heirloom/heritage breed, pasture-raised, truly free-ranged, aspture-raised chickens for meat and for eggs. We butcher poultry on our farm in our own licensed and inspected on-farm processing plant, and we have our beef, pork, venison and lamb butchered where they stand in the pasture by a licensed mobile processing facility.

We plant more than 150 different varieties of more than 60 popular vegetable species, including lots of heirloom varieties. You'll receive salad greens and braising greens every week of the season, with an ever-changing parade of peas, root vegetables, potatoes, tomatoes, several different peppers, eggplants, brocolli, caulifower, herbs, cut flowers, sweet corn, and lots lots more. The large share (20 pounds a week) is enough for a vegetable-loving family of four omnivores, or enough for a vegetarian adult couple's main groceries.
