The Lackawaxen Township Athletic Association is a non-profit organization with the soul purpose of bringing sports to the people of our community. The board which governs the program is comprised of Seven active members. These members meet the third Monday of every month to discuss and take action on the issues of making the program stronger.
Currently the two major seasons sponsored by the LTAA are Baseball and T-Ball, but in recent months there has been a push towards the introduction of new sports. Both Hockey and Football have generated enough interest to have planned pick up game days scheduled for them. Although the attendance does not come close to what Baseball and T-Ball brings in, these new sport additions are without promotions but still growing. One of the biggest problems that we face is the lack of parental participation to keep these programs going.
Currently the LTAA has the equipment to run full season hockey, football and soccer programs but not the volunteers needed officiate and coach these events.
