Little League is a program of service to youth. It is geared to provide an outlet of healthful activity and training under good leadership in the atmosphere of wholesome community participation. The movement is dedicated to helping children become good and decent citizens. It inspires them with a goal and enriches their lives towards the day when they must take their places in the world. It establishes the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play.

Lancaster Little League has four separate divisions of play: T-Ball, for ages 5 through 8; Minors Instructional (Coach Pitch) and Minors, ages 6 through 12, and Majors, ages 9 through 12. Every player's age is determined by their age on April 30 of the current year. (The April 30 cut off date is new this year, please contact the league President with any questions.)The goal of each division is to place all players in the league appropriately, considering their age, abilities, and safety for themselves as well as other children in their division. This has proven over years of research and knowledge of the game, to provide the best possible opportunity for each child to have fun, succeed at their individual level, and develop a love for the game of baseball.
