Lawsonville Elementary School is located on Highway 8 in the northern part of Stokes County. The scenic view from the east includes the Sauratown Mountains and Pilot Mountain, while the view to the west is that of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Virginia state line is six miles northwest of us. The town of Stuart, Virginia, is the nearest town of considerable size. At Lawsonville, we have students in grades Pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. We also have students from the Northern end of Stokes County for whom English is a second language (ESL).
