Mission and Purpose Statement:
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

Note: The League is political only in the sense it takes positions on selected government issues after study and agreement by members. In accordance with the nonpartisan policy, the League shall not support nor oppose any political party or candidate.
