Mission :

Vision :

To be a Church of healing for broken people

About Us :

The Lighthouse Church of God is a member of one of the oldest Pentecostal denominations in the world. What began as a group of 8 sincere Christians meeting at Barney Creek Meeting House on the Tennessee, North Carolina border in 1886 now has a world-wide membership of over 7 million with a presence in 160 countries. Pastor James B. Gevedon and his family (wife Amy, sons - Joshua 17, Nate 11, and Andrew 8) are thrilled to be part of such a movement. Since September 24th of 2000 the Gevedon family has been honored to serve as pastor of the Lighthouse Church of God. Bryon (as he likes to be called), a native of Gratis, Ohio and graduate of Preble-Shawnee High School in Camden, Ohio holds a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from East Coast Bible College in Charlotte, North Carolina as well as a Master of Theological Studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary also in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is an Exhorter in the Church of God and an Ordained Minister in the Evangelical Church Alliance. Bryon and his wife want to pastor a Church that desires to make a difference in the lives of its members, its community, and its world; you can tell by our vision statement that it will take a bunch of prayer and lots of hard work to accomplish such a task. But with the help of the Lord Jesus Christ and a few willing people our community can be won to the Lord. If you want to be part of this kind of vision in this kind of Church feel free to contact us through e-mail, phone, or by becoming part of the Lighthouse congregation.
