First Baptist Church Locust Grove is serving Christ in the Locust Grove community. We are a Southern Baptist Church family. While the area is rapidly growing and changing, one aspect of the community remains constant: First Baptist Church is continuing to do God's work in the Locust Grove area.

First Baptist has existed since 1825! While we have been around for some time, we seek to minister to relevant needs of people. Our church family is represented well by all age groups. We seek to minister to the entire family.

In our church you'll find some guys wearing an open collar shirt and others a suit. Some ladies will be in a dress and others will be wearing slacks. All are accepted. We are more concerned about your presence than your appearance.

Also in keeping with our multi-generational make-up, we have "blended" style music. We use a variety of musical instruments including piano, organ, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, drums, woodwinds and brass.

During the 11:00 worship hour we provide children's church for ages 3 through 7. In addition we offer classes for bed-babies through two year olds in both morning worship hours.

Due to the growth we have experienced, we began worshipping in our Family Life Center during the 11:00 a.m. hour. Our 8:30 a.m. worship is held in the Auditorium. We hope to move into our new facilities in 2007.

First Baptist Church Locust Grove exists to demonstrate Christ's Grace and Truth as we obey the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.
