About Us:

The Lowell Chamber of Commerce works for the businesses in the Three Creeks area, building relationships within the community and the region.

In 1848, Melvin Arthur Halsted and his wife, Martha, moved to the prairie land which would later become Lowell, Indiana in 1852.

Lowell is located in West Creek and Cedar Creek townships, Lake Country Indiana and is located approximately 60 miles from the City of Chicago, Illinois ands 134 miles from Indianapolis, Indiana.  As of the 2010 Census, there were 9,276 people, 3,392 households, and 2,500 families residing in the town and the median age in the town was 35.7 years.

Events in Lowell are the Lowell Labor Day Parade, the oldest Labor Day parade in Indiana, and Labor Day Festival.  Buckley Homestead, east of Lowell, hosts a number of events, including a World War II reenactment with authentic weapons, artillery, and tank.  Additionally,  the Legend of Sleepy Hollow is another event that tells about the Headless Horseman.
