Luther Memorial Church

12th and Jersey
217-222-5085

To become Lutheran, only Baptism and instruction in the Christian faith are required. Members of other Lutheran churches are received through transfer of membership.

We believe in one Triune God and we acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We are saved by Grace and Grace alone; there is nothing anyone can do to earn such a gift. Luther Memorial practices open communion; anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior is encouraged to receive communion with us.

Luther Memorial is focused on developing relationships with the community and neighborhood through the Clothes Closet, Food Pantry and Community Easter Egg Hunt. Members of Luther Memorial were instrumental in developing a "Thrivent Builds" Habitat for Humanity program in Adams county. The group built their first home in 2006; it was in Golden, 2007 saw the completion of the 2nd home in Mendon, groundbreaking for the 3rd home was in June 2008 in Coatsburg.

We know all people are different; everyone looks different and behaves differently. Some are younger, some are older, we all have one thing in common, we are all sinners. Sinners; young or old, rich or poor, fair skinned or dark, regardless of orientation, male or female are all welcome to worship at 12th & Jersey, Luther Memorial Church in Quincy Illinois.
