Our Purpose:

"Maple Valley Presbyterian Church is a church of Small Groups that exists to help seekers and believers become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ."

Though this statement gives an idea on how God has asked our church to uniquely fit in to what He is doing in the world, it by no means defines us. Maple Valley Presbyterian Church can be defined neither by a simple purpose statement nor the ministries we offer. Who we are is best expressed by the intersection of people's lives, both seeker and believer that occurs in our homes during small groups, in coffee shops and on Sunday mornings at the church. We are a group of people devoted to following Jesus Christ wherever he leads and attempting to live the life of an authentic follower.

Surrender - Constantly surrendering to God through regular participation in private and corporate worship.

Scripture - Growing in the knowledge and application of the Bible in daily life.

Small Groups - Living out Christ-like relationships through participation in small group life.

Sharing - Sharing the Good News of Jesus through authentic relationships and supporting both local and international missions.

Stewardship - Developing Biblical stewardship in the areas of time, talents, finances, God's creation and our vocation by identifying and exercising our spiritual gifts.
