Mason County Sportsman's Association

521 W. Business Park Road

Originally formed as the Shelton Rifle and Pistol Club in 1947, application for incorporation was submitted to the Washington Secretary of State's office and was approved. The Mason county area served by the club was and still is rural with forest products and the seafood industry as the major employers.

Initially club efforts were focused on providing a safe firearms range away from the general public yet available for the use of the community including the US Army, reserve organizations, sportsmen, and later, local law enforcement. Simpson Lumber Company provided the initial property where club members developed, equipped, and, maintained, an outdoor range until 2008.
